I was fortunate to have the opportunity to visit and take a look at the studio where Julie De Bleeckere her artwork comes to life. Below you will find an impression of the studio as well as some portraits taken from Julie.

Fujifilm GFX 50R

During such a visit you can see the recent artwork and different work in the making.  As well as the various objects that are collected and serves as an inspiration.

Outside in the courtyard there was this wall, where we also took a few more posed portraits.

Julie has the pleasure to be able to work in the artist’s studio of Christian Silvain. They each have their own space but can easily go into a dialogue with each other.

I did not know in advance that I was also going to meet the artist Silvain, but I couldn’t let the opportunity pass to take also a few images of him.

Thank you Julie & Christian for your time and hospitality.

Hopefully this is the start of a new series where I visit and photograph contemporary artists in their art studio. If you are that artist and you like this idea / approach, do not hesitate to contact me.
